At the same time, Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal spoke about the loss in VAT collection, excise duty, GST services, passenger tax, stamp duty, power department, etc. due to the lockdown. He told that after the lockdown it will take some time to get them all back on track.

To further increase the testing of corona in the state, the Captain also assured to consider approval to conduct tests in the hospitals run by SGPC. On the demand of postponing the loans of cooperative banks for three months, Principal Secretary Vishwajit Khanna said that the Chief Minister has already asked to do so.
Industrial centers will open gradually
Capt Amarinder Singh said that considering the appeal of the Punjab Government, the Central Government has approved to start functioning in industries. Four industries have started work in Bathinda in Punjab. The industries of Ludhiana have also prepared to start work. The task force formed to suggest ways to get out of the curfew will submit recommendations related to the next strategy in 10 days.
